Skills Training

What is skills training?

The Brightstone team is friendly and renowned for its excellent communication skills with people from a range of sectors and a spectrum of backgrounds. In other words, we have the ‘soft skills’ or the ‘emotional intelligence’ it takes to make people relax, respond and roll with the changes – it’s not by chance that much of our business is repeat business or by word of mouth. So when you ask us what skills training is, we really do know what it means, we understand the reasons it is important and we have the intuition and expertise to deliver truly inspirational skills training programmes.

The Brightstone touch

Our success stories are built on our people skills. Richard and the team are recognised for their human touch. People come back to Brightstone because they know who they are dealing with – not another nameless face from a large corporation. And, most of all, they enjoy the Brightstone approach – expert enough to bring out excellence and fun enough to facilitate change. When it comes to soft skills then let Brightstone show you the way…

Keeping it real

There is no typical programme but whatever we do we promise that it won’t be ‘death by powerpoint’ – we like to keep it as real as possible which means plenty of interaction and involvement from you. Brightstone works with you to deliver a bespoke skills training programme that will bring about the changes you need.

We have created training programmes for all of the following areas:

  • Performance Management/Driving Performance

Who is skills training for?

Everyone! These skills or tools will have a positive effect in all areas of your life – professional and personal. Brightstone is here to help anyone who wants to develop their ‘soft’ skills. Managers, team leaders or individuals who know the value of great communication skills will benefit from our specialised training.

Finding balance

To truly succeed in what you do you need a balance of ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ skills. You require the knowhow and expertise to do your work but equally important is your confidence, communication skills and ability to empathise and react appropriately to other people. When you find that balance, and a level of emotional intelligence, you can truly do your best.

What are the benefits of undertaking skills training?

  • Improves confidence

  • Supports organisational / department / team goals

  • Increases employee satisfaction

  • Improves leadership and management skills

  • Improves customer service and sales skills

  • Creates mindset shift

  • Increase Net Promoter Scores and Employee Promoter Scores

What is a typical programme?

First, we meet the client and establish their needs. This initial step is free and helps us to find out what you want.

Conduct a review – meet with individuals and managers across the business on a one-to-one or focus group basis.

We’ll then share a presentation/ report which highlights strengths and development areas and recommendations for the programme.

Design a programme in partnership with the client. This could be a week training programme or a series of ‘modular’ events.
